Videohub ‘Pro’ Control Panels
Master Control Pro allows for very flexible control because it has two main methods for changing cross points on Videohub routers. The simplest way to use Master Control Pro is for customers to simply select either destination or source and then scroll through all the cross points in the router using the larger knob on the right side of the panel. The built in LCD shows cross points as the user scrolls using large easy to read labels, and scroll order is based on alphabetical order of crosspoint labels so it’s easy to scroll to the crosspoint the customer requires even on a very large router.
Videohub Smart Control Pro is different to traditional hardware router control panels that cost thousands of dollars and are limited to being installed in small numbers and then shared by all router users. It is low cost, and features 48 RGB illuminated crystal look buttons that can be set to any router output. It can also be installed under each deck and monitor in a facility, so the router output to that monitor can be set with a single button press. This is a much faster way of working, because all routing only requires a single button press.
Bluefish444 will be demonstrating the latest live and post-production capabilities of its IngeSTore multi-channel capture software. The demonstrations include remote control via the REST API, Edit-While-Record for growing files, additional codec support and the forthcoming capture of NewTek NDI, RTP and SMPTE 2022/2110 streams to IngeSTore’s extensive codec library.
The BlueCodecPack licence includes DNxHD, ProRes, H.264, Sony XDCAM, and AVC-Intra 100 codecs, with JPEG 2000 also available as an optional addition to BlueCodecPack.
The forthcoming IngeSTream multi-channel SDI to IP streaming software features full support for NewTek’s NDI protocol, RTP streams and other network video protocols such as SMPTE 2022/2110.

Spectra Announce StorCycle – A Solution as Revolutionary as your Data
StorCycle Storage Management Software is a new solution that automatically identifies and moves inactive data or completed projects from primary storage to a lower cost storage tier, reducing overall storage expenses by up to 70%.
More than 80 percent of data is being stored on the wrong tier of storage, costing organisations millions of dollars a year. IT professionals intuitively know they are not storing their data efficiently because they have never been given the correct tools to do so… until now. Spectra Logic’s StorCycle storage management software is the answer to deploying a modern storage lifecycle management workflow. StorCycle reduces the overall cost of storing data by up to 70 percent.
Spectra’s StorCycle is an easy, affordable and efficient solution built specifically to identify inactive data that consumes expensive primary storage capacity. It then migrates identified data to a more affordable protected tier of storage called the Perpetual Storage Tier, while leaving the data fully accessible to users. The Perpetual Storage Tier holds inactive data, which is tracked, protected and is available at a future time if needed. This tier is also used for data distribution, backup, archive, disaster recovery and more.

Groundbreaking patented wireless technology allows Bolt 4K to transmit to more receivers simultaneously than previous systems without sacrificing image quality or reliability.
Everything You Love About Bolt 4K and More…
Announcing Bolt 4K MAX!
Bolt 4K MAX combines several new hardware and software enhancements to make it the most advanced wireless system we’ve ever built. Blending seamlessly into the most demanding cinema workflows, the Bolt 4K MAX can transmit up to 5,000 ft line of sight, multicast to unlimited simultaneous receivers, and monitor in 120 FPS for high-speed camera operations.
Teradek announce Prism, a 4Kp60 10 bit 4:2:2 HEVC encoder / decoder solution for broadcast, live production, and Pro AV applications.
“When we began development of Prism, we spent a lot of time working with our customers to produce a solution that would help them transition to a 4K workflow in a cost-conscious manner,” said Nicol Verheem, CEO of Teradek. “To achieve this, we built our platform from the ground up, using a completely new encoding technology stack and a new design philosophy that is better aligned with what our customers are looking for from a next-gen encoder.”
- 4K / UHD encoding / decoding at up to 60 fps
- HEVC / H.264 compression
- 10-bit, 4:2:2 image quality
- 8-channels of audio per card
- Optional redundant network and power options
- Up to 4 simultaneous 1080p60 encoders per card
- Genlock input
- SRT and Zixi ready
The Orbit line of products utilises Teradek’s patented Joint Source Channel Coding (JSCC) combined with both MIMO and OFDM, to encode and transmit video over the 4.9 – 5.8 GHz bands. The JSCC approach enables full utilization of 40MHz / 20MHz channel capacity. Sustained image quality is visually lossless and offers far better handling of channel interference compared to traditional discrete H.264/ HEVC encoding and OFDM / MIMO transmission methods. This results in an extremely robust wireless link that transmits pristine 10-bit 4:2:2 4K video with less than 1ms latency, up to 2km line of sight.
Information is a little scarce, but it appears to be the previously announced ‘Bolt PTZ’ transitioned into the new ‘Orbit’ range. Delivering video/audio and RS422/RS232 wirelessly, it is a neat and tidy solution for integrating PTZ cameras into your Teradek wireless environment. It will be available in HD and 4K variants. More details will be shared soon!
