AJA OG-12G-AMA 12G-SDI Analogue Audio Embedder/Disembedder
The OG-12G-AMA is an openGear 8-channel analogue audio embedder/disembedder, that supports 12G-SDI input and output up to 4K/UltraHD, and automatically detects and configures to the input video standard. It uses 3-pin terminal block connectors that can be set to perform audio input or output functionality. Analog audio levels and audio embedding/disembedding are selectable, with embedding/disembedding on a channel pair basis to pass 12G-SDI input audio or embed input analogue audio from 3-pin terminal block connectors. Designed for use in high density openGear 2RU frames, including AJA’s OG-X-FR frame. Ross DashBoard Software supports Windows®, macOS®, and Linux® and provides convenient, configuration, monitoring, and control options for openGear cards and frames via a connected computer or over local network with DashBoard’s web UI.

OG-12G-AMA Workflow
The OG-12G-AMA in this workflow diagram is receiving 4K video and embedded audio via 12G-SDI. At the same time, the OG-12G-AMA is disembedding analogue audio and sending the analogue audio I/O for mixing. The output of the mixer is then embedded into the SDI stream being output via the 12G-SDI connection of the OG-12G-AMA. This 12G-SDI output is fed directly to a Ki Pro Ultra 12G to record the original 4K video with the newly embedded, mixed audio.
openGear Compatibility
The openGear standard ensures that AJA cards will be compatible with other openGear products from certified openGear partners. With a growing list of products, openGear is the future of rackframe products.
Flexible I/O
The modular rear panel allows custom I/O connections per card (included with individual cards).
Failsafe
The optional redundant power supply provides a secondary power source in the event of a primary power failure.
Ethernet Access
A standard Ethernet connection allows the frame to be accessed via the Ross Dashboard application for overall frame communication. Optional per-card Ethernet access can be installed in the frame for advanced communication with compatible openGear cards.
