AJA KiStor Dock and Storage Modules are compatible with Ki Pro and Ki Pro Rack and provide the basis for powerful file-based recording and playback that replaces traditional VTRs in many production and live applications as well as providing a streamlined workflow for post-production. KiStor modules are cost-effective, reliable, fast and backed by a 1-year warranty.
The factory-certified KiStor drive is encased in a tough outer shell designed to ensure the drive is inserted correctly into a Ki Pro or Ki Pro Rack for recording and playback. The tough outer casing protects the drive from the rigors of production use, keeping your valuable media safe.
Unlike typical hard drives, which are designed for a small number of repeated connections, KiStor modules use a reinforced connection that’s engineered for a high number of insertions and removals to withstand the rigors of daily use in a production environment.
KiStor drives also have a built-in USB 3.0 connection, allowing them to be plugged directly into your system for quick downloads while in the field.

Use KiStor media with compatible AJA Ki Pro file-based VTRs to record directly to ProRes or DNxHD* files. Then connect KiStor directly to your editing system and copy the files using the built-in USB 3.0 connection or use the KiStor Dock (sold separately) to connect via Thunderbolt or USB 3.0 for lightning-fast
