IP Video Dock

The U4 is not only a decoder in the traditional sense.
Kiloview calls it an IP Video Dock, and the distinction matters. Where a standard decoder converts IP video to a single HDMI output for a display, the U4 converts IP video into whatever the downstream device needs—USB for a conference laptop, HDMI for a room display, or DisplayPort for a monitoring screen. Often all three at once.
Input protocol support is broad: NDI HB, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, RTSP, SRT, RTMP, UDP, RTP, and HLS. Decoding handles H.264 and H.265, with planned support up to 4K60. Two logical output channels (Output 1 and Output 2) map independently to the physical interfaces—USB Type-C (UVC/UAC), HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort —giving you real flexibility in how you route signals to different destinations simultaneously.
The hardware is compact: 100 × 62 × 18 mm, powered over USB without requiring an external adapter in most setups. Dual USB 3.0 Type-C ports deliver up to 9W combined; PD charging is also supported for permanent installations. Networking is handled by a single RJ45 gigabit Ethernet port.

No Drivers. No Virtual Camera.

The typical workaround for getting IP video into a conference call—NDI Tools, OBS, a virtual camera driver, or some combination—works until it doesn’t. Driver conflicts after a Windows update, IT security policies blocking unsigned software, CPU overhead on underpowered room PCs.
The U4 moves all of that complexity into hardware. The conference computer sees a standard UVC camera and UAC audio device, reducing the risk of software-related issues during OS updates.
For BYOD rooms, this matters practically. A visiting laptop can connect via USB-C and access configured IP video sources as a standard UVC/UAC device—whether that’s an NDI PTZ, an RTSP camera, or an SRT feed coming in from another location.
One Source, Multiple Destinations
Route IP Video to Multiple Destinations at Once.
A single camera feed often needs to do several jobs at once: join a Teams meeting, drive a local confidence monitor, and feed a recording system simultaneously.
The U4 supports same-source multi-output mode, where one IP stream is delivered across USB, HDMI, and DP at the same time. It also supports dual-source independent output, where Output 1 and Output 2 pull from entirely different sources.
In practice: a presenter’s NDI camera might go out over USB into the meeting software, while a separate SRT stream from a remote guest feeds the HDMI-connected room display.
No additional decoder, no distribution amplifier, no extra conversion step.
