Panasonic AW-HE130 Connections

Introducing a new PTZ camera capable Production Quality Full HD video output up to 1080/60p via IP transmission, in addition to 3G-SDI and HDMI. Equipped with three newly developed 1/2.86 MOS sensors for high sensitivity, a superior S/N ratio and high resolution. The AW-HN130 W/K also supports PoE+, so the camera only needs one LAN cable
for its power supply, control and video output. Presenting the new standard in versatile, high-quality remote production with 3G-SDI, IP-Streaming, and POE+.

The AW-HN130 is the successor model of the successful AW-HE120. The new PTZ camera offers new and enriched functions for an expanded range of applications.

The highly sensitive camera is equipped with three newly developed 1/2.86-type MOS sensors, allowing for high-grade filming even in low light conditions, also offering a superior S/N ratio and high resolution. In addition to 3G-SDI and HDMI output, production quality full HD video output via IP transmission is supported with the AW-HN130 W/K. The camera delivers up to four channels of IP streaming video (H.264), with configuration levels of the quality level.

In addition to a sharp, fast F1,6, 20x optical zoom lens, the AW-HN130W/K is equipped with an innovative 1,4x digital extender that can increase the effective focal length of the lens by 40% while delivering smooth, high resolution video. The new built in Optical Image Stabilisation System (OIS) automatically minimises the effect of small vibrations from the surface where the camera is mounted caused ; whether this is caused by the opening and closing of doors, nearby speakers, or other disturbances.

By connecting to network devices that support the IEEE 802,3 at POE+ standard, power can be supplied via LAN cable. Since it is not necessary to install a power supply even a local A.C. outlet, installation costs can be significantly reduced.

Thanks to a highly evolved pan-tilt design, the AW-HN130W/K achieves smoother and more natural movement during on-air shots. The pan-tilt head also has a wide shooting range, with a pan range of ±175° and a tilt range of -30° to 210°. The newly developed pan tilt drive provides high-speed operation at maximum 60°/s, excellent response to remote control operation, and highly precise stop control. These features combine to accurately capture fast-action sports scenes or smooth concert footage. The noise level during operation is also very low, at NC35 or less, which is ideal for use in quiet environments.

This makes the AW-HN130 an ideal choice as a replacement camera for existing systems. It is available in two colours to match a variety of decors. The pearl white model (AW-HN130W) is suitable for settings such as chapels and wedding halls, while the black metallic model (AW-HN130K) is ideal for capturing theatrical performances or events. It has a turn-lock mechanism that allows ceiling mounting in the same manner as a lighting fixture, and its light weight means it can be installed easily by a single person.

What is NDI?

NDI (Network Digital Interface) technology has been developed by NewTek, it is made available to anyone with a royalty-free license, and has been widely adopted by many broadcast vendors. NDI is becoming a de facto standard in the live production industry. NDI revolutionizes video production workflow by removing the physical I/O constraints of traditional broadcast infrastructure. Any NDI-enabled device on the network can see and access content from all other devices, allowing more sources than ever before to be used for live production.

What is the specification of NDI|HX?

NDI is designed to run over existing 1 Gigabit networks, allowing easy adoption of the protocol without new infrastructure. This is achieved through the use of video compression with the NDI|HX codec, which delivers 1080 Full HD video at data rates typically around 15Mbps. NDI|HX is a 4:2:0 8-bit codec, based on H.264 compression. It supports 1080p and 720p, at different frame rates. Factory default mode is 1080/25p at 10Mbps.

AW-UN70 Black 4K Remote Camera, and an Excellent HD Remote Camera with NDI Support

Expanding the capabilities of broadcast camera systems

The AW-UN70 integrated remote camera is able to deliver 4K images with excellent zoom range and exceptional pan-tilt performance. The AW-UN70 remote camera is ready for the new demands of the industry through ultra HD resolution imagery. 4K images can be obtained in a variety of outputs including HDMI, USB and LAN. Besides its 4K capability, this camera performs extremely well in HD, also supporting 1080/50p format and 3G-SDI output.

With such a wealth of features and outputs, the AW-UN70 4K remote camera can be used for applications such as remote video production, live events, signage or video conferencing among many others.

Video Outputs: Standard professional interfaces include HD/SD-SDI, HDMI, as well as IP/Network for single cable delivery of high-quality content up to 1080/60p.

Serial Control: RS-422 serial compatibility is available for serial-based control workflows (i.e. connection to AW-RP50/120 or previous controllers). RS-232 and RS-422 VISCA protocol are available when introducing a Panasonic camera into an existing control structure.

USB or microSD Card Recording: The mini-USB connector allows the AW-UN70 to be utilised as a USB camera utilising standard USB Video/Audio class drivers. Many applications that connect to USB cameras, such as teleconferencing or software switching solutions, will be able to connect to the UN70 without external converters. Alternatively, microSD recording enables ISO MP4/H.264 recording internally in the UN70, transfer of content over the network via web browser or FTP.
