Slice 676 SDI + HDMI Rack-Mount AVC (H.264) Decoder
Slice 676 is a 1U rack mount H.264 decoder built for OB vans and enterprise applications. It enables video professionals to output low latency high definition 1080p video at up to 10Mbps via HD-SDI. Slice 676 includes 2.4/5Ghz MIMO WiFi, Ethernet, and cellular connectivity options and supports multiple transport protocols, including MPEG Transport Stream, and RTP/RTSP. With the addition of Teradek’s Sputnik server, Slice 676 rack mount encoders gain IFB and remote monitoring capabilities that give broadcasters full control over their IP video deployments.

Comprehensive Protocol Support
Slice encoders output a variety of stream types, including MPEG Transport Stream, RTMP, RTSP, and RTP Multicast.
Slice supports all standard resolutions up to 1080p at 10Mbps. With the addition of a Sputnik server, Slice can utilise IFB communication and remote monitoring features that give broadcasters full control over their IP video deployments. Moreover, Sputnik allows Slice encoders to tunnel through firewalls, which means opening ports is a thing of the past.
Sputnik is Teradek’s free software application between Edge and your streaming destination. Sputnik is designed to run on a Linux computer either in the Cloud (using Amazon EC2) or on a local server with a single, publicly addressable TCP port. The software recombines packets from connected cellular modems into a cohesive video stream that can be sent to an H.264 decoder, computer, or viewed online.
Core Fleet Management
Core is Teradek’s new cloud-based encoder fleet management system. From a single elegant web GUI, you can monitor and control all of your Teradek encoders, cellular bonding systems, and decoders effortlessly. The interface allows you to direct streams from any one encoder to any number of decoders, even if both are behind firewalls or on private networks. All the encoding and transmission parameters can be controlled remotely from any location, allowing your field reporters to focus on the content and not the transmission gear. The automatic device discovery and drag and drop workflow makes entering IP addresses a thing of the past, while customisation warnings and notifications ensure that things keep operating smoothly.
