BarnColor SFP (10G)
Designed to supplement the highly flexible BarnColor system, the new BarnColor 4xSFP-Flex provides 4 SFP transceiver cages on each unit and allows you to configure your BarnColor-Flex pairs with the signal processing SFPs needed for your unique application. Up to four different colour units can be cascaded to each other; the system supports up to 16 transceiver cages on each side and allows the transport of 32 signal feeds; 16 feeds forward and 16 returns. Can be combined with any models in different colours.

They work in colour pairs (ie. A Green BarnColor connects to another Green BarnColor), but can be daisy-chained/cascaded so that all 4 colours are multiplexed onto the same fibre cable. This allows for up to 16 channels in EACH direction (32 Channels in total) to be transported over a single duplex cable. BarnColor removes the complexity of configuring CWDM fibre multiplexing by ensuring the mux/demux hardware is embedded and the correct frequencies and are paired by colour. It really is as simple as plug it in and turn it on.
You can also mix and match between the different models – 3G-SDI / 12G-SDI / Ethernet / SFP – as long as you maintain the colour pairs. This allows for added flexibility and cost management. Have a green and blue pair of 3G-SDI (eg. 8x Channels of 1080p60 in each direction), a pair of red 12G-SDI (4x channels of 2160p60 in each direction) and a pair of purple Ethernet (4x GbE links) BarnColor appliances, all delivered over ONE single mode duplex fibre cable!
